Kit - Martha Jefferson 1842 Sampler, by Chessie & Me

from $55.00

This symmetrical sampler has beautiful colors and an alphabet with some of the letters a bit ghosted, so do not fret if some of your letters do not stand out from the fabric. Perfect for the stitcher who is not fond of borders, as there is none. Only some bands across that will put you in a beautiful state of relaxful stitching :)

Stitch count is 179 x 226

If using 36 count, a fat quarter is perfect. There is some “over 1” stitching in the name at the bottom, but the designer, Linda, recommends using a tent stitch if stitching on linens over 36 ct.

The sample in the picture is stitched on Week’s 35 ct in Cocoa. I’ve paired it with an LFA Linens Boston Tea Party 36 ct Linen fat quarter. I’ve also included an option for just the “pattern/floss” only in case you’d like to use your stash linen or try a different colorway.

Kit Options:

Linen Kit:

  • Pattern

  • Called-for flosses (8 Weeks’ Dyeworks, 4 Classic Colorworks)

  • 36 ct LFA Linen in Boston Tea Party (a Fat Quarter), Serged and ready to go!

or

  • Pattern/Called-for floss Only

Don’t forget to check out the shop for any additional notions you may need.

I do the work, so you don’t have to! Enjoy every stitch.
